B – Trade Finance Global Trade, Treasury & Payments Awards
The provision of a Trade Finance Global Trade, Treasury & Payments Award (the Award) by Trade Finance Global does not constitute an endorsement or advice on the quality of finance providers. All Awards are conferred based on an independent methodology, judged by a steering committee who have declared any conflicts of interest.
The Trade Finance Global awards are entirely not-for-profit; we do not accept sponsorships or payments for the awards. The awards may be presented at a designated event such as Sibos or BAFT. Winners may incur costs to travel to the award event and might need to cover a nominal pass-through cost if they do not possess tickets to the respective event. However, attendance at the event or awards ceremony is not a requirement for receipt of the award.
Please note that award trophies are for presentation purposes only and are not retained by the winners.
Decisions on award winners are final. In the instance of a dispute regarding the outcome, an appeal can be made. The appeal process is as follows:
- Appeals must be submitted in writing to Trade Finance Global within 30 days of the award announcement.
- All appeals must state clearly the grounds for the appeal.
- The Appeal Committee will review the appeal, taking into account the selection criteria and the reasons outlined in the appeal.
- The decision of the Appeal Committee will be final.
Trade Finance Global expressly disclaims any endorsement of any businesses, brands, products, and/or services. The Trade Finance Global seal does not signify any warranty or guarantee regarding the use or performance of any products and/or services by the award-winning businesses.
Trade Finance Global does not accept any liability or offer any warranty related to the purchase and/or usage of any such products and/or services. B. Responsibilities:
Members will review the briefing packs prepared by Trade Finance Global (TFG), evaluate contenders impartially, vote anonymously for winners in assigned categories, and present an award at the BAFT 2023 Global Leaders Conference at Sibos in Toronto, if available and willing.
C. Time Commitment:
The service term runs from June 2023 to September 2023, with an expected commitment of approximately 2 hours.
D. Conflicts of Interest:

G. Change in Current Role:
If a member leaves their current position or organization during their term, TFG has the right to either reassign the role within the member’s organization or ask the member to leave the Committee. Members are required to notify TFG immediately upon any change in their current role.
TFG reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions as needed. Any changes will be promptly communicated to the Steering Committee members. By accepting to serve on the Steering Committee, members agree to abide by these terms and conditions, ensuring the fairness, credibility, and transparency of the Awards.
