Keith Melton is Senior Vice President leading the Strategic Initiatives and Product Marketing, for The Clearing House, with responsibilities for driving the execution of the RTP Strategic Program – driving growth and volume for the TCH RTP network. Prior to joining The Clearing House, Keith was Senior Vice President and Head of Product Management, for Federal Reserve Financial Services with responsibility for enterprise product management, revenue management, product pricing and customer billing for all national and international payment services across the Federal Reserve System (FedACH, Check, Fedwire Funds, Fedwire Securities and FedLine). Keith led the effort to support the transformation of the Federal Reserve Financial Services organization to using a product management approach, implementing an agile cultural change, driving faster delivery to market with increased customer value.
Keith served as a senior leader for the Federal Reserve’s ACH Modernization program which transformed the Federal Reserve systems to a next generation payments platform which has been a catalyst for innovation in the U.S. payment system across payment anomaly analysis, fraud mitigation, advanced analytics and exception processing. He also co-led the initial faster payments program which led to the decision for the Federal Reserve in becoming an operator of faster payments and culminated with the launch of FedNow.
Prior to working for the Federal Reserve, Keith was the senior executive responsible for IBM’s Global Banking and Payments product portfolio, leading a 200+ person organization responsible for strategy, product management and development. In this role, he had overall P&L responsibility for a $100M payments software business.
Under Keith Melton’s leadership, IBM launched several strategic initiatives including the IBM Financial Transaction Manager portfolio – helping financial institutions around the world transform and modernize how they process payments and transactions such as high-value Corporate Payments (e.g. SWIFT, Wire, etc.), low-value Retail Payments (e.g. Check, ACH, Faster Payments, etc.), Securities and Treasury Services. These initiatives, during his tenure, increased IBM’s payment business by 174% CAGR between 2012-2016. He also served in various executive and leadership positions at Ovations Management Solutions(CIO), SunTrust Bank(VP), and several consulting firms introducing innovative technology into customers across the world.
Keith currently serves on several Board of Directors including Nacha, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Sports Network, Atlanta Junior Rowing Association and Immediate Solutions.
Keith has earned a BSBA degree in MIS from Auburn University and an MBA from Kennesaw State University.
